Southern Fried Chicks

no, not a new brand of green tomatoes, but a trio of women stand-up comics. I guess it's the female answer to the blue collar comedy tour. It's way funnier though.
It deals less with 'the south' or 'rednecks' then it deals with female aches, heartaches and little embarassments....hardly surprising that the vast majority of the audience at the Carolina theatre was female. Not hilarious, but very enjoyable.

Looking forward to seeing 'the good body' by Eve Ensler shortly. She's the author of 'the Vagina Monologues', which if you haven't seen it yet is about the best heartfelt and tender scripted standup comedy I've ever seen. Really curious if her next show will touch the same emotions.
