Day Care

Kevin's just been back into day care for 2 weeks now and already he's been sick twice. He finally got over his cold/flu bug last weekend and then on Wednesday promptly relapse with a stomach bug.

How obvious can it be? He was home all summer and didn't as much as get the sniffles despite the constant playing in the water, picking up dirt, etc. He's back at school for 2 weeks and gets 2 bugs. Poor kid. Schools are havens for bugs. And we're talking a premier, pristine, 5 star certified day care... not your food on the floor, pet-ladden home run center.

Makes me wish I could stay home with him more and protect him from the nasty bugs...did you ever think you'd hear me say that? I probably wouldn't last 2 weeks, but still. It's tough seeing the little guy hurt and not be able to do much other than give Tylenol.

Hopefully his immune system is building up that response ultra-fast, because it's hurting us as much as him.
